HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-3000i (4M0K0AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Need help if someone can. I have HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-3003w just got out of warranty.. it's 2022 build equipped with Intel 11th Gen i5 processor.. It has 790 nvme drive 1tb .. 12g. Ram and graphic card. With windows 11 os.

Bios is updated to A.30 version lastest what HP has on it driver and download page for computer.

Now recently I it hit me with F30 no bootable driver .

Alright then  1st step I checked nvme drive in diagnostic.. it passed quick and long test. Forr sake of curiosity I even checked nvme in other desktop and it shows up in disk management. Okay so my NVME is not issue  😁 .

Now then i try to do recovery with f11 or escape and system recovery... Again same  Error f30 can't find bootable device.

Next went in bios and made sure it is updated latest version and secure boot is of. ( No legacy open in bios to mess with and this system runs on UEFI ) So checked in UEFI option in bios settings and It show nvme drive .. mean at least in bios I can see my SSD . check boot order to boot manager correctly in not maneu.

Well then I made HP recovery USB from HP Support website and try to recover computer OS with it same thing recovery can't find SSD/ NVME .so no luck in this . But from little research find out that RAID VDM driver need to be loaded manual to make drive show up ..

Now to last resort that I have to fresh instal windows.. okay I did download Windows 11 and made bootable USB , and also from HP support download RAID VDM driver for my 11th Gen processor, follow the guide and extracted files into another USB to plus in computer during Windows install as per guide.

So windows USB boots and install initial process choose fresh install then when I get to screen where I suppose to see drives and partitions I plugged driver USB that I made from RAID VDM drive and hit load driver etc etc and here I see all partitions.. cool , well that happiness didn't last long ,

I format partition that I wanted to install Windows and then chose instal it start copying files as usually Windows dose .. 100% copy file done and usual windows msg that computer will reboot  multiple times.. now supposedly computer should boot again from SSD /NVME and complete installation process

But unfortunately that didn't happen and computer boot from window USB and back to install Windows again .. anyhow this time when I load driver for VDM or rapid display etc partition I closed shows that there are windows file copied cuz I made 300gb partition for Windows and it was 20 something gbs less. Anyway I format partition again and install Windows same Thing happens again after copying get 100 percent Windows installation reboot and again computer boots from USB.

Too make sure I am not doing anything wrong I went to bios again and check boot order made sure that 1st option is SSD or boot manager and 2nd option is USB .. then manually I booted computer from Windows USB to go through installation again and whole process again when computer restarted it again booted from installation USB not from SSD .

WELL this means installation of windows not completing and still F30 error even SSD shows up during Windows install,

Just to make sure that NVME port micro process is not crazy on me I plugged my old one SATA and one HHD drives separately and all together .. booth same way showing in UEFI option in bios but not on boot and F30 error if I straight start computer.. if I plugin in Windows installation bootable USB and get to load driver screen during installation and load vdm drivers then all of them shows up and in tried installing windows on sata , or hhd , or nvme multiple time . Formated even diskpart through CDM etc etc . Nothing changed .. as soon windows install copy file 100% and message shows that computer will restart multiple times to complete installation computer restart and boot windows bootable usb and black to square one.

After that details of what I did  if anyone can help me to get my desktop back to life I really appreciate guidance and Help .

Hi @Muha12,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Pavilion Desktop is stuck in a loop due to the F30 error, which generally indicates a "No Boot Device Found" issue. This issue is complex, but let's address it step by step to attempt resolution:

Step 1: Verify RAID Configuration

  1. Enter the BIOS setup by pressing F10 during startup.
  2. Check if your system is using RAID or AHCI mode under Storage Options.
    • If RAID is enabled, ensure you have the correct Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) drivers for your 11th Gen processor.
    • If not using RAID, switch to AHCI mode. (This might require reinstallation of Windows.)

Important: Changing from RAID to AHCI (or vice versa) without reinstalling Windows can cause boot errors.

Step 2: Secure Boot & Boot Order

  1. Disable Secure Boot in the BIOS under Security Settings.
  2. Ensure UEFI Boot Mode is selected and Legacy Boot is disabled.
  3. Confirm the Boot Order prioritizes your NVMe SSD or Boot Manager over USB.

Step 3: Clean Install with Driver Injection

You’ve followed most of the correct steps for a clean install. However:

  1. Re-download the RAID/VMD drivers to ensure they're not corrupt. Use HP's support site to confirm compatibility.
  2. Insert the drivers during the "Load Drivers" stage of Windows installation.
  3. IMPORTANT: When selecting the partition to install Windows:
    • Delete all existing partitions on the NVMe SSD.
    • Create a single new partition, allowing Windows to configure it.
  4. Proceed with installation.

Step 4: Resolve Boot Loop

After installation:

  1. Remove the USB drive immediately after the first reboot during installation to force booting from the SSD.
  2. If the system still boots to USB:
    • Re-check the Boot Order in the BIOS.
    • Manually select the NVMe drive under the Boot Menu (press F9 during startup).

Step 5: NVMe Compatibility Check

It’s possible the NVMe SSD or motherboard port has a firmware or compatibility issue:

  1. Update your NVMe SSD firmware using the manufacturer's tool (if available).
  2. Check HP's website for updates specific to your motherboard and chipset.

Step 6: Test with a Different NVMe Slot or Drive

If possible:

  1. Insert the NVMe SSD into a different slot (if available).
  2. Try installing Windows on a different SSD or HDD to determine if the issue is hardware-specific.

Step 7: Last Resort - Repair Boot Configuration

If Windows files are on the drive but it doesn’t boot:

  1. Boot from the Windows USB.
  2. Choose Repair Your Computer > Troubleshoot > Command Prompt.
  3. Run these commands: bootrec /fixmbr
    bootrec /fixboot
    bootrec /scanos
    bootrec /rebuildbcd

4. Restart the system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

really appropriate your response.

Well with HP pavilion Tp01 model its bios is really basic and its F.30 version that is latest for my computer, which dose not allow anything advance except changing boot order and turning PCI slots on and off or secure boot, Rest legacy option is not there at all and UEFI only shows you what SSD or HDD are installed.

Real problem arise when i start doing windows repair through bootable USB or downloading HP windows recovery from cloud and using VMD or intel rapid share tech driver on USB and get to point where i can load drivers after installing drivers during recovery process i can see my SSD and choose recovery process and it start doing its thing until windows try to reboot to complete process after copying necessary files it unable to to detect SSD or HDD  on boot and same error F03 .

Now for me solution i ended up buying new SSD and  took old WD NvMe 770 1TB SSD out and try to fresh install windows. it worked like charm, i even dont needed to do anything in bios to everything went smooth.  Now i still had data on NVME so i pluged that into m.2 pci slot and windows crashed straight to stop blue screen error.  Apparently My nvme is one of those unlucky SSD who had issue with windows drivers. Anyway i use external sleeve and USB c with another computer to get my data from my NVME and then formatted it and plugged back to computer. Computer detected it with no issue.  i was able to to go back to hp cloud recovery to get factory image made bootable usb and installed onto new SSD Just to be safe side . now i am using NVME 1TB as secondary drive to keep files but windows runs on new SSD.

Long story short Bad SSD and lack of options in bios , plus windows 11 drivers issues during recovery and installation make everything difficult.  so lucky me i was able to recover my data .
