Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When I power on or restart, windows-7 pro tries to install: Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller. It fails, and reports "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. Initially, Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller was installed but my hp usb printer stopped working. Since I was getting the error message above, I used windows to remove Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller will not install, windoes-7. Then my printer started working again. My question is, if windows wants to reinstall it but cannot, what's wrong?

Hi:

I recommend that you unplug your printer form the USB port, and install the latest USB 3 driver directly from Intel, restart the PC and reconnect your printer.

Download, unzip and run the setup application.
