HP Desktop PC M01-F1000a (2W898AV)

I have updated my BIOS to version F.33 Rev.A, and after that my computer takes too long to boot, the last BIOS time in Task Manager is 16 seconds, which I think is too slow. Is there a way to install an older version of the BIOS?

Hi

I don't think anyone in this forum can help.

HP generally locks BIOS updates; you can't roll back the BIOS to a previous version.

HP lists one MB used in your product series, MB SSID 87D7, look in MB description at this link https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-desktop-pc-m01-f1000a/37921112/model/2100381841/document/c06... .

But the BIOS update for your product number series https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-desktop-pc-m01-f1000a/37921112/model/2... reflects a MB SSID 87D6.

You can't try a BIOS rollback when the MB SSID BIOS versions do not match. Look in "Revision History" to see previous BIOS version downloads. I would not attempt a rollback given the MB SSID mismatch.
