Hello, I was making this today to get a quick question out the way, I have the Hp Pavilion Gaming desktop 690-0084. I was wondering if I could install a Radeon 6650 XT into it, I decided it was time for an upgrade but wanted to clarify if my computer met the requirements needed for a quick swap. I currently am using a GTX 1060 right now.

@Roman102,

Yes, your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0084 is compatible with a smaller-sized (two fan) RX 6650 XT model, such as this one, except you'll have to upgrade your 310-watt or 400-watt power supply to a 500-watt power supply with part number: L05757-800. You can purchase this power supply online such as via eBay: l05757-800 for sale | eBay.

However, I would recommend a comparative Nvidia graphics card such as an RTX 4060 or an RTX 4060 Ti.

Kind Regards,
