Just FYI a clean install and pausing Windows Update did NOT work for me. (Well, it worked for two days). I had done a clean install, immediately paused updates and downloaded no drivers or any other HP updates. But I still continued to get the BSOD.

Perhaps someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but pausing Windows Updates doesn't pause windows drivers updates right?  Those are done in the background without any notice.

Windows Insiders are currently testing a new GUI to manually turn these off, but for the rest of us, it's either done through Local Policy (Windows 10 Enterprise or Pro) or through the registry.

Are there any more details on the apparent new SoftwareComponent?

I'm curious, where do you see the HP - SoftwareComponent update?  I don't see them in the list of installed updates or my update history.

It's under drivers in the update history. screenshot.jpg

It was mentioned earlier in the thread. i think that 3079 version is a few weeks old.

No HP-Software Component update showing under drivers in update history. I long ago replaced the Realtek wireless card with an Intel AC-9260, so it was not Realtek wireless drivers. I did uninstall the Microsoft version of the Realtek Ethernet drivers and then hid the ethernet controller in the bios. So far, so good. But when this happened the other day, I was able to get things stable for two days (until this morning) by uninstalling both the Nvidia drivers and the Intel wireless drivers and then reinstalling them after a full restart.

I am frustrated to another level I have tried every single solution including the one on this forum and still no progress in getting rid of this blue screen I realised whenever I try to turn of real time protection the blue screen immediately pops up and I realised it is only the HP products are having this problem from what I saw on other sites.

I forgot to add that after doing all of the above, I unblocked my MAC addresses and my system has completely updated both HP and Microsoft.

still running without issue.
