If you don't mind me asking, what kind of PC do you have?

new Bios Update is: F.42?

HP Recommended

I haven't encountered the crash since last time, but I am also using Kapersky instead of Windows Defender.  My Bios is at F.41 right now, installed on June 26th

I have no idea why HP having so many issues with Blue Screen,i updated my HP Pavilion 595 to the latest version 2004 after the "disaster"happend in May,now the support sent me a Bios update to the F.42,but at this point i am not sure i will install it.

Yes, the BIOS update is F.42 and it is dated 28 May 20.

Once I updated to that, the regular 10 minute BSOD stopped and all is well.

Would like to chime in on this thread as I've been getting numerous BSODs starting Mid-April with all sorts of errors including Kmode Exception Not handled and critical process died. There were times you think it was already fixed and then BSOD again. AFter enduring for a while, decided to  reset my laptop finally and installed all updates including 2004, which I thought worked until this weekend - getting BSOD WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR followed by boot not found.

Enabled legacy boot but the bsod persisted so i did a system recovery, and stopped all updates. Sigh hope this works...I am sick of this already and such an inconvenience esp now that everyone's working from home.
