hp 600 G2 SFF
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

recently purchased hp 600 G2 SFF that came with unregistered windows 8 from the supplier. wanted to change it to windows 7 ultimate (32/64). As win 7 is installed, there comes no issue it goes through installation process fine but when the user name screen comes after fresh installation at first boot, keyboard & mouse does not respond and not working at all.

For referenceFor reference

tried installing windows using both the dvd as well as bootable usb, same issue persists.

keyboard & mouse works in BIOS and also during installation but stops working after booting upto windows. if usb 3.0 driver missing from windows 7 would have caused this problem then 1st of all installing using disk may not result in this issue and secondaly keyboard mouse should not work in instalation process as well.

I also have changed BIOS settings making legacy support enable and secure boot disable but no use in the end.

You are correct -- the USB 3.0 device-drivers for your motherboard are not included in the 2010-vintage Windows 7 system.

So, see: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-PCs-Workstations-and-Point-of-Sale-Systems/HP-ProDesk-600-G2-...

for how to modify the installer to add USB 3.0 support into Windows 7.

Thank you for reply
I also tried the method you mentioned but it results in its own process it takes like forever on one of its action of unmounting image. Last time i tried it was still in process after 2 hours
