Thanks Garp

I would love to send the product number, however there is no identification on the keyboard anywhere. It is the one that came with the AIO I purchased about 4 years ago. I believe it is simply called AOI 23 inch.

The mouse works fine ( same bundle), but not the keyboard - no typing appears on the screen. Fortunately the PC has touchscreen so I can make entries when the mouse can’t.
Thanks

M

Hi @LiBassi,

Thank you for your response.

If your keyboard stopped working after a Windows update and now your computer won't wake from sleep, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

Restart the Computer:

  • Sometimes a simple restart can resolve hardware recognition issues.

Reconnect the Keyboard:

  • For wired keyboards, unplug from the USB port and then re-plug it.
  • For wireless keyboards, make sure the batteries are charged. Re-sync the keyboard by reconnecting its USB receiver and following the resynchronization process as mentioned in the setup instructions.

Re-enable Keyboard Wake Settings:

  • Go to the Device Manager.
  • Under the Keyboards section, select your keyboard and go to Properties.
  • Under the Power Management tab, check Allow this device to wake the computer.
  • Save and apply changes.

Update Drivers:

  • Go to the HP Support website or use HP Support Assistant to check for any new drivers. Sometimes, the build-in Windows drivers might not be fully compatible.

Windows Power Troubleshooter:

  • Use the Windows Power troubleshooter to identify issues. Search for Troubleshoot in Windows, go to the Power troubleshooter section, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Check BIOS/UEFI Settings:

  • Sometimes, BIOS/UEFI settings may prevent correct wake-up functions.
  • Reboot the computer, enter BIOS/UEFI settings (commonly by pressing F2, Del, or Esc during startup), and check settings related to USB wake-up support.

Roll Back Drivers:

  • In Device Manager, right-click on your keyboard under Keyboards and choose Properties.
  • If available, select Roll Back Driver under the Driver tab to revert to a previous version.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
