Hello! My laptop has had a lot of issues that I don't mind but this one is a big problem for me.. My laptop has been shutting down randomly or either when I don't use it and just leave it on. I had this problem before but it shut down to hibernate instead, and it would only happen if I charged my laptop when it was close to dying. I did fix this issue and it was because my laptop would go to sleep if it wasn't being used for a certain time, but I changed that option to NEVER in the power plan settings. Unfortunately now I'm having this same issue, but instead it isn't hibernating, it is just shutting down with no warning at all. This problem may be an issue because of how old this laptop is, but I can't a new laptop and I'm just trying to make the best with what I currently have. Please help me fix this issue and if there isn't any way to fix this, thank you for at least contacting!!

@fern15 -- I changed that option to NEVER in the power plan settings

When Windows notices that your computer is "idle", it may launch some "housekeeping" tasks, such as a virus-scan, or the Disk Defragmenter.  So, running these tasks, while running on battery-power, may exhaust the battery, forcing a shutdown.

Maybe?
