Hi @Honey24733,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your laptop is stuck on the startup screen and not progressing further, there could be a few different causes. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.
- Force restart your laptop: Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds until your laptop turns off, and then turn it back on again. Sometimes, this can help to clear any temporary glitches that might be preventing your laptop from starting up properly.
- Disconnect all peripherals: If you have any external devices connected to your laptop, such as a printer or USB drive, disconnect them and then try starting up your laptop again. Sometimes, a faulty peripheral can cause startup issues.
- Check for hardware issues: If the above steps don't work, there may be a hardware issue with your laptop. Try running a diagnostic test to see if there are any issues with your hardware components. You can also try opening up your laptop and checking for any loose connections or damage to your hardware components.
- Boot in Safe Mode: Try to boot your laptop into Safe Mode. Safe mode loads only basic drivers and services, which can help in identifying if any software is causing the issue.
- Reinstall the operating system: If none of the above steps work, you may need to reinstall your operating system. This will erase all your data so make sure you have backup before proceeding.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
