I looked in BIOS/UEFI for enabling TPM, but can´t find it? Can you help?

@Etienne511 -- is this your computer: HP EliteDesk 700 G1 Small Form Factor and Microtower Business PCs - Overview | HP® Customer Support

It was designed for Windows 8.  So, it is quite possible that the motherboard predates the popularity of TPM, and thus does not support TPM.

Since you have used BIOS SETUP, but did not find anything about TPM, that is more evidence that the motherboard does not support TPM.

Many thanks for your information. It is not the small form PC, but the standard type, as you can see below. I don´t think there is a lot of difference:

As you said the motherboard doesn´t support TPM.

Hi, @Etienne511

According to page 9 of the Quickspecs at the link below, the PC is supposed to have come with a TPM 1.2 security device.

HP EliteDesk 700 G1 Series Business Desktop

If you look at the service manual, chapter 5, page 60, you will see a reference to an Embedded Security Device.

That is the TPM.

You may want to check the BIOS setting for the Embedded Security Device and make sure it is not hidden.

It was supposed to be enabled by default.

Finally I found TPM: I have to install and use a password to enable.

I had some problems with the Dutch nomenclature

Many thanks for yourv reply!
