We are migrating away from Windows. What desktop machines are available with no OS, have DOS or a popular Linux distribution installed?

Thanks in advance for your help.

To answer your questions ...

1) No OS -- I don't believe HP sells barebones PCs

2) DOS -- HP sells PCs with FreeDOS -- but folks come here regularly trying to install Windows on these PCs and invariably fail in their efforts.  So, you might not be able to install Linux distros, either.

3) Linux distros -- Here is a link to HP PCs with Ubuntu:  https://certification.ubuntu.com/certification/make/HP/

Hoiwever, there are limitations on the PC, and you need to read the info on each specific model to learn about those.

Thanks for the response.  I looked at the UBUNTU certifications, good stuff. This begs the question, do I need to remove windows or do they come with no OS or UBUNTU istalled?

Thanks again for taking the time to help.

Belay my last, I looked further and note that HP installs UBUNTU on these.

What I have heard, and how much is true, I do not know yet. Hp has its own Linux version, which requires a special DVD to install. You can receive the DVD if there is an agreement with HP. I want to put a Linux version on my DL360 G7. It's a search. What is also possible is running virtually in memory. with 98GB this should work, I hope.
