Hi @Sfcd67
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Getting locked out of your laptop is frustrating, but there are a few ways to regain access. Here are some steps to try:
Recovery Options
Reset Microsoft Account Password
- If you use a Microsoft account to log in, reset your password here.
- Follow the instructions to regain access.
Use a Password Reset Disk
- If you previously created a password reset disk, insert it and follow the prompts on the login screen.
Try Safe Mode
- Restart your laptop and press F8 repeatedly before Windows loads.
- Select Safe Mode and check if you can access the built-in Administrator account to reset your password.
Perform a System Restore
- If you can access recovery options, go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > System Restore.
- Restore your system to a point before the password issue occurred.
Reset Windows (Last Resort)
- If nothing works, you may need to reset Windows.
- Restart your laptop and press F11 to enter recovery mode.
- Select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC (this will erase all personal files and settings).
If my response helped, please mark it as an Accepted Solution! ✅ It helps others and spreads support. 💙 Also, tapping "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" makes a big difference! Thanks! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
Regards,
