I'm trying to access my old computer, but i've forgotten my password, I never make a recovery disc and the account im locked out of is the admin account. My other problem is that i also disabled the guest account, so i have no way of logging on. I understand i can reset the PC, but im trying to avoid that so i can keep my files.

Resetting the PC is probably NOT going to work because the HP Recovery function will ask you for the password.
Sorry, but by Community policy, we are no longer allowed to provide any assistance with password reset or recovery.
Here is the HP Policy: Participation:
4d. No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to bypass or subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms, fingerprint scans, etc., or to bypass any safety measures.
For Admin and Windows password resets, you have to contact your regional HP Customer Support location directly for assistance.

I am helping a 78 year old man. He gave the laptop to a friend to load some new software..... in doing so he had to secure it with a login password. And he can't remember the password. I have the data backed up... So I go through the F11........ and I do not get the options list ...... all i get is
"RESET THIS PC"
