I inadvertantly Uninstalled several HP Apps.  My PC works fine, but I don't know if anything in the future will not work.

The good news is that if your Windows 11 PC and your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 are both working normally, there is a very good chance that you only uninstalled optional HP software rather than anything essential.

 

The next step is to determine which HP apps were removed. HP installs a mixture of software, including:

 

  • HP Smart – Used for printer setup, scanning, printer status, firmware updates, and some advanced features.
  • HP Print and Scan Doctor – Troubleshooting utility (optional) -don't worry about that because HP Smart is now HP's primary application for managing and using OfficeJet printers under Windows. As long as you can print and scan normally, you can simply install or reinstall HP Smart and continue using your printer. HP Print and Scan Doctor was primarily a diagnostic tool and is not required for normal operation.
  • HP Support AssistantOptional support and update tool.
  • HP Universal Fax or OCR componentsOptional, depending on how the printer is used.

 

I would suggest:

 

  1. Confirm that you can still:
    • Print a test page.
    • Scan a document.
    • Access the printer from Windows Settings.
  2. If everything works, there is no need to reinstall software immediately!
  3. If you removed HP Smart and later finds that scanning, printer setup, or printer management features are missing, simply reinstall HP Smart.
  4. If you are unsure what was removed, you can open:
    • Settings > Apps > Installed Apps
    • Look for any remaining HP-related entries and post a screenshot or list.

 

Again, for an OfficeJet Pro 9015, the most important application to have available is usually HP Smart. Most other HP software can be reinstalled later if a specific feature stops working. Simply uninstalling a few HP apps is unlikely to cause future problems if printing and scanning are currently functioning correctly.
