Is there a firmware (SoftPaq) patch for fTPM/TPM tied to SSID 8876? If not, can you provide a rollback/recovery BIOS that restores TPM functionality?

I updated to this new BIOS for my PC and when I boot up it says there no compatible TPM, I looked on my BIOS and it says I have it available. but I tried to save and reboot and it still pops up as if I don't have TPM

Hi @kidknyte,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with TPM functionality after updating the BIOS on your HP OMEN 30L GT13-1000a (SSID 8876), there are a few steps you can take to resolve this.

Check BIOS Settings

Enter BIOS Setup:

  • Restart your computer and repeatedly press the F10 key as it boots up to enter the BIOS setup.

Verify TPM Settings:

  • Once in the BIOS, navigate to the Security tab.
  • Ensure that the TPM is set to "Available" and "Enabled."
  • Save changes and exit the BIOS.

Firmware (SoftPaq) Updates

  • Visit the HP Support page and enter your product details to check for any available firmware updates or SoftPaqs that may address the TPM issue.

Rollback/Recovery BIOS

  • If there is no specific firmware update addressing TPM issues, you might consider BIOS rollback:
    • Check if your BIOS version allows for rollback to a previous version. This option might be available within the BIOS setup under "BIOS Rollback" or similar options.

Manual BIOS Re-flash

  • You can also try re-flashing the existing BIOS version using a USB thumb drive. Ensure that this process is well-cataloged in the support documentation for your PC to avoid disruptions.

Restoring TPM functionality often resolves after a BIOS setting adjustment or through official firmware updates. Always try to back up any important data when troubleshooting firmware issues to prevent data loss.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
