MIgrate content to another device

Trying to migrate content from HP desktop with windows 10 to an iMac. HP is blocking the process. Message says 'access denied as you do not have sufficient privileges or the disk may be locked by another process. You have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode and make sure the disk is unlocked'. Looking for advice on how to do this so that I can move my content to new computer before this old HP dies. Thanks!

it looks like the classic windows 10 messages, not necessarily hp which would block something..
that said, you do not specify what you do exactly, how etc?
but in general, in order to copy data, it will be preferable to use suitable software, there will have to be seen on the apple side what is possible!
