What is the maximum download MBPS speed this PC can handle? I recently upgraded my internet service to a pkg of 300 MBPS yet when doing a speed test, cannot get over 175. The ISP said bc this PC too old to handle that speed. This PC was purchased in 2018. I don't think it's too old and assume it should be able to handle that. Please advise. Thank you

@YB2019 -- your ISP's cable-modem (or something similar) is capable of 10/100/1000 Mbps speeds, depending on how much you spend per month for Internet access.
The network adapter in your computer is not a 10/100 adapter; it must be a 10/100/1000 adapter, since you are getting well over 100 Mbps.
Does your ISP have its own "speed-test" web-site, that is somewhat "local" to you?
If you try to connect to a speed-test server in a different country, you will be measuring the "end-to-end" speed, not the speed between your cable-modem and your computer.
I have found that any "dual-core" processor, running at 2.5 Ghz, gives me the Internet speed (to my ISP's speed-test server) that I am paying for. Is your processor that speed, or better?
