Hello, I am interested in the subject notebook. On the product specification page I find NeoKylin Linux 64 among the pre-installed operating systems, see https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-elitebook-840-g4-notebook-pc/11122291/document/c05349510, however,  the dropdown list for the operating system in the Software and Driver Downloads page for this notebook only shows the Windows OS, see https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitebook-840-g4-notebook-pc/11122291. Here are two questions about this fact:

(1) Is it possible to get the subject notebook (with Intel-Core i7 processor) with NeoKylin Linux 64 preinstalled?

(2) Is it possible to install an Ubuntu LTS (16.04, currently) on this notebook and then to get all the needed software drivers?

Thank you very much, in advance, for your help.

Thank you for your reply. Meanwhile I found out that Kylin and NeoKylin are Linux distributions tailored for Chinese installations, so question (1) does no longer apply to my case. On the other hand, probably question (2) should be rather proposed to the Ubuntu forums community, where the Laptop COMPATIBILITY List thread collects user experience with installation of the Ubuntu distribution on laptops.
