Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When I switch on the computer, the error states:

Memory training error

DIMM 6 on CPU O experience an error during training (CODE 311C)

It asks me to reboot the PC.

Then, I need to wait  around 20 minutes to start the window.

What should I do now?

Can someone provide me the solution?

Hi

Sure.

You would have to go to your PC model number Support Site and click on "Contact Support".

HP will repair the PC. You need a new motherboard.

HP will not replace your PC with a new PC.

Hi

Have never seen that error message before.

I would think you have either a bad memory module or memory slot or a problem with pins on the CPU or CPU socket.

AMD CPU's have the pins on the processor. Intel CPU's have the pins on the motherboard CPU processor socket.

It is a hardware problem.

You would have to carefully examine all of the above. Also remove all memory modules. Then try to boot the PC using each stick of memory in each memory slot.

That means DIMM slot 6 must be replaced?

Hi

Sounds like a plan.

Did you remove the memory module from that slot?

The computer is still under warranty.  Can I ask HP to replace it?
