Sorry but i am new to this. I would like to upgrade my laptop to 8gb of ram. In the laptop the is a 4GB 1Rx8 PC3L-12800S-11-12-B4 . Bought a 4GB 1Rx8 PC3L-12800S-11-13-F3 But was not compatible. I was wondering why, Can i just buy a 8gb one or do i have to buy in pairs, plus what is the max i can put into this laptop. Ps only has an i3 motherboard.
what do the coding all mean.

The equipment supports 16 gb of ram according to Crucial.
It has two slots.
Compatible ram memories:
2 GB memory module 691739-001
4 GB memory module 691740-001
8 GB memory module 693374-001
Compatible memory ram crucial brand:

The ram memory must be 1600MHz, PC3L-12800 DDR3L .
