Hi @Raiesh

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your Microsoft Office installation! It sounds like you have a device that came with pre-installed Office, and now you're trying to reinstall it but can’t find the product key. Here are a few ways you can try to resolve the situation:

1. Check the  device:

Since Microsoft directed you to the manufacturer, it’s likely because Office came pre-installed with your device and is associated with the device's hardware. Here’s what you can do:

  • Check the box or device packaging: Some device include the Office product key on a sticker or card inside the box or with documentation.

2. Check Your Microsoft Account (if linked):

If you linked your Office product to a Microsoft account when you first installed it, you may be able to reinstall it without needing a product key.

  • Go to office.com and sign in with the Microsoft account that was linked to your Office installation.
  • After signing in, check if there’s a "Services & Subscriptions" section. If your Office product is listed there, you can download and install it again directly from the Microsoft website, and it should activate automatically.

3. Use the Microsoft Office Activation Troubleshooter:

If you’re able to reinstall Office but can't activate it due to a missing key, you can use Microsoft’s Office Activation Troubleshooter to help resolve the issue.

  • Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
  • Locate your Office installation, then right-click and select Repair. Follow the instructions.
  • If Office is not activating, you can use this Microsoft troubleshooting tool to guide you through solving the activation issue.

4. Search Your Email for Digital Purchases:

If you purchased Office separately (for example, a digital download), you might find the product key in the confirmation email from Microsoft or the store where you bought it. Search your inbox for terms like "Microsoft Office" or "product key" to locate that email.

5. Check the Device’s Preinstalled Software:

Sometimes, if Office was preinstalled and linked to your device, the product key may be stored in your computer’s registry or UEFI firmware. There are third-party tools available (like ProduKey by NirSoft) that can scan your system for installed product keys, though this method is more commonly used for finding keys of already-installed software.

6. Reinstall from the Microsoft Website:

If you’re unable to recover the key but know the type of Office you had (e.g., Office 2019, Office 365), you might be able to reinstall it through the Microsoft website.

  • For Office 365/Office 2019, you can go to the Microsoft Office website, sign in with your Microsoft account, and follow the prompts to install it.
  • For pre-installed versions, if linked to your Microsoft account, this should allow activation once installed.

I hope this helps.
