Microsoft Windows Update Hewlett-Packard - USB - 12/12/2014 12:00:00 AM - 35.0.56.52825 constantly downloads but doesn't install.  Is this window update a virus?

Hi:

 

It is not a virus but an update that doesn't work.

 

I recommend that you run the Hide Windows Update Utility that I zipped up and attached below to prevent that update from showing up and trying to install.

 

Download, unzip and run the utility.

 

It will find the update.   Check the box to hide the update.

 

If for some reason you ever want to run the update again run the Hide Windows update utility and uncheck the box to hide the update.

 

You will have to restart the PC to have the update not show up.
