I installed a new RAM (8GB) in my HP ProDesk 600 G1 and now the D drive is missing. The system came with 4gb (2 slots). After I restarted the desktop with the new RAM a beep sound with message that "new memory detected" showed up. I pressed F1 to record new memory setting and the PC restarted but the D drive is not detected. I have two drive, SSD and HDD. OS is installed in SSD.

Hi
Review the following Link for RAM configurations.
I can't think of any reason why installing more RAM would affect SATA . Remove the new stick of RAM. Check drive status.
I would guess the RAM or the memory slot may be causing the problem if the HDD is detected after removing the new RAM. You might have a HDD problem if the drive is not detected.
Try resetting CMOS or reset the BIOS to defaults with and without the new stick of RAM installed in the MB.
Your PC has 320 watt power supply.
Maybe the SATA HDD data or power cable is not fully seated?
