You're very welcome, John.

I have the CMT version of the 8200 Elite and the driver worked fine for my missing PCI Serial Port, and the PC's form factor would make no difference.

Try manually installing the driver as follows:

Go to the device manager.  Click on the PCI serial port needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

Select the Browse my computer for drivers option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the driver.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp74499.

Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.

Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file which shows driver support for the hardware ID of the PCI serial port, which should be the ID in the red text.

[Intel.NTamd64]
%SRL_DeviceDesc% = ComPort, "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E3D&CC_0700"
%SRL_DeviceDesc% = ComPort, "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1CBD&CC_0700"

Hi:

You need this driver for that device...

Intel Management Engine Software

Paul_Tikkanen, thank you for your answer but unfortunately did not work for me, I am still getting the same error message. I have applied all of the solutions offered so far with no success but thank you anyway.

Cheers,

John Mihan.
