Model KB1 wireless keyboard going thru batteries every two weeks

I am replacing batteries in my HP wireless keyboard every two weeks.  This just started happening about 2 months ago  The only info I can find about the keyboard is Model KB1  2.4g RF   CN12023680  Do you have any insight as to what is causing the battery drain all of a sudden?

I suggest you use Alkaline Batteries.
