Hi @Ron1623,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Let's go through some steps to troubleshoot the connection issue between your HP 27 All-in-One Desktop PC and your HP Envy Photo 7858 printer.

Check Printer Status

  1. Ensure the printer is turned on and not in sleep mode.
  2. Check the printer's Wi-Fi connection (if using wireless). Make sure it’s connected to the same network as your PC.
  3. If using USB, try a different port.

Restart Everything

  1. Restart your printer.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. If using Wi-Fi, restart your router.

Verify the Printer Connection on PC

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Check if your HP Envy Photo 7858 is listed.
  • If it shows Offline, remove and re-add the printer.

Reinstall the Printer Driver

  1. Uninstall the current printer driver:
    • Press Win + R, type appwiz.cpl, and hit Enter.
    • Find HP Envy Photo 7858, right-click, and uninstall.
  2. Download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
  3. Install the new driver and restart your computer.

Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  • Follow on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix connection issues.

Reset Printer Settings (If Needed)

If all else fails:

  • Perform a factory reset on the printer.
  • Reconnect it to Wi-Fi and set it up again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
