HP Recommended

My computer keeps freezing before I can even enter the password to unlock my computer. Ive even tried resetting it through the troubleshooting screen but it gets to 80% and freezes so I have to shut it down and start all over.

Hi ElliotYellow,

 

It's tough to assist without knowing what HP PC you have. Please provide a Product Number or model.

 

It sounds like a hardware problem if the PC freezes while doing a reset.

 

Run HP hardware diagnostics at startup to see if a problem is detected.

 

Start the PC. Repeatedly tap "ESC".

 

Select "F2". Run system and component tests.
