Hi @Kartheek_Kotha,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The issue you're describing indicates a critical problem with your HP laptop, likely related to driver compatibility, BIOS instability, or system updates. Here's how you can approach and troubleshoot the problem effectively.
Check for Driver Updates
- HP Support Assistant: Install or update the HP Support Assistant to check for driver updates directly from HP.
- Windows Update: Go to Settings > Windows Update > Advanced Options > Optional Updates, and check for any available driver updates.
- Manual Updates:
- Visit the HP Driver Support page for your specific laptop model.
- Download and install the latest drivers manually, particularly for the chipset, graphics, and BIOS.
BIOS Update Issues
If your BIOS update keeps failing:
- Download BIOS Manually:
- Find the exact BIOS update for your model on the HP website.
- Create a bootable USB with the BIOS file using HP’s BIOS Recovery tool.
- Restart the laptop, press Esc, then F2 to enter the BIOS update/recovery mode, and update from USB.
- Reset BIOS Settings:
- Enter BIOS (press F10 during startup).
- Choose Load Default Settings, then save and exit.
Roll Back or Reinstall Drivers
- Roll Back Drivers: If the issue started after a driver update, roll back drivers via:
- Device Manager > Right-click the affected driver > Properties > Driver tab > Roll Back Driver.
- Use Generic Drivers:
- For critical devices like the GPU or network adapter, uninstall the current driver, then install the generic driver via Windows Update.
Address Windows Instability
- System Restore:
- Use a restore point to revert to a previous stable state:
- Go to Control Panel > Recovery > Open System Restore.
- Use a restore point to revert to a previous stable state:
- Repair Windows Installation:
- Download the Windows Media Creation Tool.
- Perform an in-place upgrade or repair installation.
- Clean Install:
- If issues persist, back up your data and perform a clean Windows 11 installation.
Analyze Blue Screen Errors
- Note the stop code when the Blue Screen appears.
- Use the Event Viewer to find detailed logs:
- Search for Critical Errors under System Logs to identify problematic drivers or hardware.
- Use tools like WhoCrashed to analyze crash dumps.
