Hi @aveshsri ,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Experiencing automatic restarts after a Windows update can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Here's a step-by-step guide:

Boot into Safe Mode:

  • Restart your laptop and repeatedly press the F8 key during the boot process.
  • In the Advanced Boot Options menu, select "Safe Mode" and press Enter.
  • Once in Safe Mode, check if the issue persists. If not, it may be related to a third-party driver or software.

Uninstall Recent Updates:

  • If you suspect a specific update is causing the issue, you can uninstall it.
  • Boot into Safe Mode.
  • Right-click on the Start button, select "Settings," then go to "Windows Update" > "View update history."
  • Click on "Uninstall updates," find the problematic update, right-click on it, and select "Uninstall."

Perform System Restore:

  • Boot into Safe Mode.
  • Type "Create a restore point" in the Windows search bar and select the corresponding result.
  • In the System Properties window, click on the "System Restore" button.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your system to a previous point before the update.

Check for Driver Updates:

  • Ensure that your device drivers are up to date, especially graphics and chipset drivers.
  • Visit the laptop manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers for your model.

Use Windows Update Troubleshooter:

  • Open Settings and go to "Update & Security" > "Troubleshoot."
  • Run the "Windows Update Troubleshooter" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Check for Malware:

  • Run a full antivirus scan on your system to ensure it's not caused by malware.

Review Event Viewer Logs:

  • Press Win + X and select "Event Viewer."
  • Check the "Windows Logs" for any critical errors or warnings around the time of the reboots.

Perform a Repair Install:

  • If other methods fail, you may need to perform a repair install of Windows 11. This option allows you to reinstall Windows without losing your files and apps.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
