Greetings @Bentcorp

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Disconnect unnecessary peripherals before trying a system reset or doing a HP Cloud recovery.

Your PC could have a hardware problem or Windows system files are corrupted if you can't do a Windows reset within Windows.

Check your PC's hardware using HP Diagnostics as follows:

Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.

Select "F2". Run extensive system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem.

You could try a HP Cloud Recovery if your PC qualifies. and the PC has no hardware problems.

You might have to replace the system drive before doing a HP Cloud recovery if HP hardware diagnostics detects a drive problem.

Regards
