My power went out and now my computer won’t start. I am receiving a message that states my PC did not start correctly. I’ve tried restarting it and it keeps bringing me back to the same screen. I have tried unplugging it and restarting it and plugging it back in and it still is not working

@Kschoel

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

  1. Power on your PC
  2. Press Esc
  3. Select F2 at the prompt.
  4. Choose System Tests (Fast Test performs a 4-minute hardware check)

Run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostic tests to determine whether the computer is functioning properly. Download the latest version of HP Diagnostics UEFI

  • 2. After Installation, select Start from your PC, and then under All Apps, select HP Help and Support, then HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows.
  • 3. The app opens to the main menu. Click System Tests.
  • 4. Click the Run Once button and follow the instructions on the screen
  • 5. If the hardware test Passed, it indicates there is no Hardware Failure. In case, the test Failed, it will display an error code.

And, also refer to the Article: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/bpu00737 The Computer Will Not Start. By the end of the article, you will be able to isolate the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
