The PC will shut down at seemingly random times then to get it to come back on I have to unplug it and wait 5-10 minutes plug it back in and the hold down the power button. I am thinking this is a power supply issue. I have not been able to locate where to order one on the hp site and thought i would ask here. I have a tech that will install it just thought that i would order it to get the part in hand before handing off the computer to sit waiting for parts. I have run the diagnostic tools etc... comes up with nothing??? Power supply seems to make sense to me due to only coming on after being unplugged for an extended time? any thoughts and what should i come back with if i want to get something a little bigger. I do some moderate video editing and was also considering a new computer even though this one seems great when it doesn't randomly shut down.

Hi @CIMHOFF
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
When your computer overheats, it causes random shutdown issues.
You can help prevent overheating by making sure there is adequate ventilation around the computer, the fan vents are cleaned regularly, the computer is in a cool environment, and the BIOS is up-to-date.
Please follow the instructions listed in the link below and check if the issue persists.

3) On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
4) Click Extensive Test.
5) Click Run once to initiate the test.
Note: It will take few hours to complete the test.

I have done all of that and it did not help. I was wondering what power supply i could order to replace this one? Seems to be the problem. In the reports and bios update there were no over heat issues i think it is before the mother board etc...
