My computer will not start. Ran diagnostics and it failed a "hard drive short DST check." I get an error code m4j87f-7ax9ta-wptv6k-60wb03. can i fix it somehow or do i have to take it to store to get fixed?

So a replacement HDD and re-install all the software.

Choose an equivalent.

 

It may be possible to copy off data once the new system is running, so do not use the current HDD at all.

Dis-Connect it until ready for data search and copy.
