Hello @SRN22, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP PC.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please let us know the PC name and the model number along with the network setup of the HP device so that we can assist you further?

In the meantime, could you please try the steps provided below?

Step 1: Power Reset (Hard Reset)

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Disconnect all cables and devices, including the power adapter.
  3. With the power adapter unplugged, press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the power adapter.
  5. Press Power to turn the laptop on and check the screen.

Step 2: Test with an External Monitor

  1. Connect the laptop to an external monitor or TV using HDMI or the appropriate cable.
  2. Turn on the external display.
  3. Restart the laptop.
  4. If nothing appears, press F4 repeatedly until the screen image is displayed on the external monitor.
  5. If the external monitor shows an image, your built‑in screen or graphics driver might be the issue.
  6. If the external monitor also stays black, the problem could be more serious (graphics or system board).

Step 3: Recover the BIOS

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Plug in the power adapter.
  3. While the laptop is off, press and hold Windows key + B.
  4. While still holding Windows + B, press the Power button for 1 second, then release all keys.
  5. The power light stays on, and the screen might stay blank for about 40 seconds; you might hear beeps.
  6. When the HP BIOS Update screen appears, let the BIOS recovery complete.

Step 4: Reseat Memory Modules (If Accessible)

Only perform this if your model has a removable memory access panel. If not, or if you’re unsure, contact HP Support.

  1. Turn off the laptop and unplug the power adapter.
  2. Remove the access panel to reach the memory modules.
  3. On each memory module, push out the two latches to release it, then slide it out.
  4. Avoid touching the metal contacts.
  5. Insert each module back into its slot firmly, then press down until the latches lock.
  6. Reinstall the access panel.
  7. Reconnect the power adapter and turn the laptop on.

Take care and have an amazing day!
