I used to know what was under the bonnet on my HP Gaming machine (bought second hand a few years ago). It had an HP 'book' somewhere in the starting system with all the specs and help contacts, etc. The system disk (an SSD) died on me and I had a replacement put in by a computer shop and although he replaced the SSD, he made a right mess of everything else (yes, my bad). Long story short, I now don't have the 'book' any more, with all the details and would like to know if I can get it back. I don't know the serial number or anything else apart from the data above.
Does anyone know if and how I can retrieve the 'help/info' system back?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
It seems like you've lost the HP recovery partition, commonly referred to as the "HP Recovery Drive" or "HP Recovery Partition," when you replaced the SSD on your HP laptop.
This partition contains the necessary files and tools to restore your computer to its factory settings, including the operating system and drivers.
Losing this partition can be a problem if you ever need to perform a system recovery or reinstall the operating system.
You can always use
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
The tool will allow you to make a bootable installation media (USB/DVD) and you can use installation media to install.
During the installation process if you are asked to enter a product key, check the 'Skip' box and W10 will install and then automatically activate once you are connected to the internet using the key embedded in BIOS of your machine.
If this does not help. you may have to contact HP internal support for further assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
