June 16, 2025 On this day, unboxing and the first time setup of this HP OMNIdesk Desktop PC experienced both Search Box and Microsoft Logo went into a "freeze mode " as a cursor stopped and ceased moving - dead simultaneously" while I was exploring on the desktop. Only way to get them activated was restarting the PC. Trash Bin was the only icon present on the desktop screen and I needed some others. But because of the freezing issue, the PC had to be restarted over and over again while trying to locate and bring them to the desktop. Clicking on Taskbar Setting showed nothing inside - empty. After moving around and deleting some McAfee files, which is not needed, PC now shows only "Troubleshoot" section. This PC needs to have Windows 11 reinstalled.

Greetings @earlybird2020
Welcome to the HP Forum.
A new PC should not do what you have experienced.
Check your PC's hardware using HP Diagnostics as follows:
Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.
Select "F2". Run extensive: system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem.
I would return the PC to the seller if you find a hardware problem.
You can reinstall the HP factory OS image by following directions at this HP Site.
