Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 870-130vx CTO has had start-up problems with every Windows update and lately overheating problems despite regular cleaning and chip reseating.  Today I did a BIOS update and the computer name, serial number, and product ID all changed.  Now it says my computer is an 880-p1xx. Is this normal?  Also, the HP Support center on that computer is no longer working correctly.  What is the best way to fix this?

Hi,

This is not normal. Have never seen this behavior before. Never saw a BIOS update change a product number unless you somehow managed to install an incorrect BIOS update.

I don't know how to fix this. The only option is to contact HP Support (Link) for help unless someone else in the forum has a better suggestion.

Regards
