Does anyone know why my tower is making a loud buzzing noise? my husband cleaned the tower the other day and when he pulgged it back in it started making this noise.

It could be that one of the internal fans is out of balance, and thus is vibrating much more than normal.

 

Turn the computer off.

Remove the side panel, to expose the motherboard & fans. For example:

 

 

 

 

As you can see, the fan has a smooth centre, and very sharp fan-blades.

Take a pencil with a soft eraser-head.

Turn the computer on.

Very lightly touch the eraser to that centre -- not to the fan blades -- and briefly "brake" the fan, so that it slows down.

If the noise changes, then you have located the "noisy" fan.

Turn the computer off.

Re-clean the fan, or replace it, or get a qualified computer technician to replace it.
