A friend has an HP Z220 workstation mini-tower. He made a change in the BIOS and now the system doesn't boot:
1. Confirmed system is properly POSTing by removing all memory - motherboard beeps 5 times indicating no memory.
2. Booting up with everything intact:
a) System powers on (lights/etc.)
b) Fans spin up.
c) NO VIDEO DISPLAY
d) Eventually fans run at full speed.
Digging around online, it appears there is an issue with the BIOS and I need to do a "crisis recover".
I found the instructions on how to do this, and can easily do this but I cannot find the .bin file that I need to reinstall a clean copy of the BIOS.
NOTE: The download on the HP site provides a .exe file which is useless because the system IS NOT BOOTING and the SCREEN REMAINS BLANK/BLACK. I do NOT get any initial video display showing initial BIOS output/etc.
