I have a HP pavilion 27-p011. I need to reflash bios on it, and the device does not power on. I know how to do the flashing, the only problem is I don't have the BIOS. It is no longer offered for this model on HP, so I need to find a copy of it online, and somewhere safe. Can anybody help?

@Orionsbelt007, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
HP Pavilion 27-p011 has reached end of support life.
Since your device doesn’t power on, and you’re preparing for a BIOS recovery using USB, you'll need the BIOS binary (usually .bin or .rom) and/or the BIOS recovery tool (.exe).

Here’s how to proceed safely:

Check HP's Legacy Support Page (Archived Drivers)

Sometimes the BIOS is still available but hidden in a different regional HP site or under Windows 8.1/10 filters.

Once you have a BIOS update .exe, you can extract the actual .bin or .fd file using:

  • 7-Zip
  • Look inside folders like ROM.cab or BIOSUpdate inside the extracted files.

This .bin or .fd file is what you’ll place on a USB for BIOS recovery.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
