My Windows 7 OS is hosed and I've tried to use the posted recovery options to no avail. (Both Microsoft and HP) Unfortunately I don't have the original disks and they are also not available for purchase on the HP driver download site. How do I get copies of the orignal disks to reinstall the OS from scratch? I also checked the Microsoft site to see if I could download the OS there using my Windows 7 Home code but the Microsoft site says I need to go to HP site to get the original disks. Please help.
Thanks
Jason

Hi, Jason:
You have two options...
You can order recovery media for your PC from this non-HP vendor at the link below...
You can make your own plain W7 installation media as follows...
Click on the Windows ISO Downloader.exe link to download the tool to create the W7 ISO file download.
Select the W7 COEM ISO file download version for the product key the OS is good for, which is the OEM operating system ISO file.
I have zipped up and attached the Microsoft utility below, that will allow you to either put the file on a USB flash drive or burn it to a DVD.
Then you can install the drivers and available software you need from your PC's support page.
