I have a HP Pavillion Gaming Desktop 609-00xx, product id is 00325-96470-02414-AAOEM. I don't know anything about computers but recently my CPU fan has been really loud, leading me to check over my computer and to find out: no, 100 disk space taken up 24/7 isn't good and my pc probably needs a new HDD before it finally decides to keel over (and maybe a fan/bearings but I'll figure that out later :(( )
I've had this pc for 5 years and I would like to know if anyone knows what I can buy/what will fit. If more information is needed please let me know.

In looking for info, I came across the Crucial site with their recommendation for a SSD upgrade.

Their recommendations are guaranteed to work. I would recommend the 1TB drive. They also have software on the support site that can clone the old drive to the new one, to save you all of the hassle of reloading everything to get your PC back to normal.

I'm not an HP employee.
