Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Blue bitlocker screen popped up requesting a bitlocker key to gain access to my own information. It gives me no explanation for locking me out of my system and threatens more to cause my information to lost more than a so called hacker! What good Is a deterrent if it only deters the pc's owner more than a so called cyber attack? I have the original paperwork with my HP but no encryption key.
