Brand new HP but since I cannot get past login screen I have no error messages to share.  I have gone through at least 5 system resets and I am close to giving up.  I should add that I am 81 years young and very, very unhappy with this new computer.  BTW, I am contacting you using my old computer.  I believe the biggest problem is having to login using Microsoft account and I have done everything possible to convince MS that I am who I am.  I was able to create a new account using this old computer but of course MS can't seem to grasp that concept on the new computer.  Do any of you know of a way that I can bypass having to use MS to logon?  I have never had to do that before on other computers.  I truly believed that doing that system reset (5 times) would have enabled me to correct the issue but it remains.  HP agents don't understand what I am trying to explain and I realize I am probably not making things clear but I don't know how else to explain it.  If anyone can help me I would be most appreciative.

That can be tricky. You probably have a Windows Home Edition and not the Professional.

For the first startup and login you have to do that. But then, when you are logged in you can go to

settings>accounts>Your Info ==> login with a local account

Make sure that you write down your MS useraccount name and password and keep it at a safe place.

The other option is to run a complete new installation without internet access. Then you click on
"I don't have internet" But is it worth it?
