HP Compaq Elite 8300 convertible microtower (B0F33ET)
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

on the HP compaq Elite 8300 convertible microtower (B0F33ET) motherboard, I have an LPT (parallel) port, but in the BIOS and the device manager, I cannot find this port.
Should we update the bios? a jumper to activate on the motherboard?

Given the date of your post, I would have expected someone to respond to it before this -- but since that has not happened, I will take a shot at it ...

Sorry, but realistically, I think you are out of luck regarding the parallel port.

Here is the link to the HP product page for your PC, and as you can see, there are no parallel port drivers listed: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-compaq-elite-8300-convertible-minitower-pc/52328...

In addition, the HP specs show that port as OPTIONAL, implying that the default factory install would NOT include the drivers,

You could try running HP Support Assistant to see if it notices the lack of drivers and installs them.

You could also try running the New Hardware Wizard in Win7 to see if it notices the port and then goes online to MS to look for the drivers.

Sorry, wish I had more, but I do not.
