Hello! So, this has happened to me a few times, and I've tried solutions from here before. Sometimes after my computer updates, the option for bluetooth is either a) totally gone, or b) goes in and out, that is to say, it's available for a second and then gone the next. When that last happened, I was able to fix it by going to the Device Manager and disabling and re-enabling some driver, but when I looked this time, I couldn't find the "bluetooth generic adapter" some people suggested disabling/re-enabling. Even though I can see the option for bluetooth on the device manager, I didn't see any adapter. So then, I just tried uninstalling something bluetooth-related under "network adapters", but now I have no idea what it was called, so I don't know how to reinstall it. I also restarted by computer after that, so I tried scanning for hardware changes, but I don't think it registered any/reinstalled it for me (it that's what it's supposed to do - I don't know how it works!).
I tried the bluetooth troubleshooter, but it gives up at the end and says maybe I should try restarting the computer.
In the past, when I've restarted it, the bluetooth has come back, but this time it isn't. This happened to me last night after an update and it miraculously started working again, but for some reason, this afternoon after I'd used it in the morning, the computer was hesitant to turn on, and the bluetooth option went missing again.
I'm using Windows 11 on an Acer Aspire, if that's useful.
Someone please help! 😞

Hi @HazyCosmicJive,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with Bluetooth device connected to your Laptop.
A) Perform a power drain on your PC.
1) Unplug the power cord from the PC & wall.
2) Disconnect the power cable from the AC adapter if it is a detachable part and keep it aside.
3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the AC adapter, then connect it to the wall and to the charging port on your PC.
5) Power on the PC and wait for it to boot into Windows now.
B) Update the BIOS for your PC by clicking on the link.
Make sure you keep only the charger plugged in while updating the BIOS for your PC.
Click on the + sign next to BIOS and then download the file.
Open the file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
C) Install all the pending updates for the Windows operating system following the below steps.
