Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So, I've spent 2 weeks on and off with my new project Gaming PC/Server trying many things to find the TPM in the Bios with no joy or help from the may ideas on the web⁉️

I just read on here about it which Id already tried and checked out the supported list for win 11 to find that the CPU I have is not on the supported list!?😞

However, if I stick a supported CPU in here will that make the TPM showup in the Bios

I'm going to order a cheap one (26XX V4) in the meantime to test out this theory as I'm getting near to transferring her into my fulltime Pc once I can get all my drives inside! I'm hoping that the TPM issue will be solve by having a W11 supported CPU? 🤞🏼🤞🏼

There aren't any W11-supported processors you can install in your PC.

There should be a TPM 1.2 security device listed under the Security devices category in the device manager.

If not, the device is probably disabled in the BIOS.

See the service manual, chapter 2, page 28 for the TPM settings.

If you want to install W11 on your PC, you will have to use a workaround to do it.

Watch this video, which is the easiest way to do it in my opinion, and I have tried many different ways to do this during the last 3 years.

Skip the part where he tells you how to get the 24H2 insider preview ISO file.

Use the latest one from the Microsoft website link that I posted below the video link.

How to install Windows 11 24H2 on Unsupported PC (Early Access) 2024 (youtube.com)

Download the W24H2 ISO file and use that (3rd option).

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)

You can download the free 7-Zip file utility from the link below.  The top line is for 64 bit.

7-Zip

You'll have to repeat this procedure each October when Microsoft rolls out the new builds because a PC that does not meet Microsoft's minimum W11 hardware requirements will never automatically get the update to the next build.

Other than that, your PC will continue to get the monthly cumulative and other updates.

That's only a minor inconvenience to have continued OS support beyond October of 2025.
