HP Z Display Z24i 24-inch IPS LED Backlit Monitor

Hi there awesome community.
I have a new display screen / monitor that I am keen to use to do detailed work, but am having a nightmare of wasted time trying to get it up nd running (which may well be due to user errors!)
I have connected it with a UGREEN DisplayPort to HDMI Cable which was provided by the retailer (as the plug in end for my laptop is different to the pug in end of the display screen)
I have loaded my product to this site and downloaded and installed the driver.
But when I turn on my display screen and laptop, the monitor status just keeps saying "scanning/no signal" (and other stuff) and then says "monitor is going to sleep" and off it goes to sleep. I have used monitors before with this laptop successfully.

I would really love to use my HP screen - can anyone help please?

If it is already identified, go to System > Display > Advanced display (under the heading Related settings) and change the Refresh rate to 60 Hz. Good luck!
