@5CD3349NMP, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Laptop 15s-fq5040ne is not charging or powering on, and there are no indicator lights. Let's walk through some steps to help identify and possibly resolve the issue.

Check the Power Adapter and Cable

  • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the wall outlet and the laptop.
  • Try a different wall outlet.
  • Inspect the adapter and cable for any visible damage.
  • If available, try using a compatible HP charger to rule out adapter failure.

Perform a Hard Reset

This can help clear any hardware lockups:

  • Disconnect the charger.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the charger and try turning on the laptop.

Check for Charging Light or Fan Noise

  • Plug in the charger and look for any LED indicator near the charging port.
  • Listen for any fan or drive noise when pressing the power button.
  • If there’s no sign of power, it could indicate a hardware issue (motherboard, battery, or DC-in board).

Try a BIOS Recovery (if applicable)

If the laptop shows any signs of life (like a blinking LED), try this:

  • Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds.
  • Release all keys and wait to see if the BIOS recovery screen appears.

Remove External Devices

  • Disconnect all USB devices, SD cards, or peripherals.
  • Try powering on the laptop again.

If none of the above steps work, the issue may be hardware-related, we suggest you please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
Kindly follow this link to locate the nearest HP service center: HP® Service Center Locator - India | HP® Support

I hope this helps.
